Lodge. 1884 by R Norman Shaw in Vernacular Revival style. T-shaped plan. Ground floor red
brick, first floor tile hung. Plain tiled roof with tall brick chimneystack. One storey and attics
in gable end; 3 windows. irregular fenestration. The principal feature of the front is a full-height
projecting gable with carved bargeboards, close-studded timber-framing above 6-light casement
and 2 framed panels below. Porch below, under jetties with curved brackets, mullioned
windows and double doors. Left side elevation has 3-light casement to first floor and canted bay
to ground floor, the projecting gable supported on brackets. Right side elevation has half-hipped
gable.
