Cottage. Early C18, refenestrated in C20. 2 bay cottage probably
originally of lobby entrance type. Oak framed, covered in roughcast
over weatherboarding with tiled roof and C20 brick chimneystack. 1
storey and attics; 2 windows. C20 gabled dormer, 2 casements and plank
door. Side elevation has 2 casements. Catslide roof to rear. C20 link
block and rear wing not of special interest. Interior has exposed rear
wall with upright posts with typical cut profile, diagonal braces and
Carpenters marks. One room has axial beam with 1 inch chamfer C18 3
plank door with hinges and probable C17 3 plank door with L hinge to
winder staircase 1st floor has exposed framing with some carved wind
braces and old floorboards. It is possible that the 3 plank door and
floorboards may be reused.
