Milestone. Early or mid C19. Stone, (a hard stone, probably not granite or
limestone). Oblong-section stone with rounded top, the latter slightly chamfered on
the front edge; both top and sides have horizontal tooling. Inscription carved on
front face, badly chipped in 1984, reads: From (A)sh(bu)rton IV Miles.
