(Formerly listed as ABRAHAMS LANE Common Bank)
II
House. Early C18, altered. Rubble (mostly limestone) with gritstone dressings and slate roof. Base of brick ridge chimney cap between first and second bays, and remains of stone cap to right-hand (east) gable. Two storeys. Three-cell plan. South facade has two bays which have two-light windows with stone architraves, and with mullions of stepped profile, with an outer chamfer and an inner square arris. At the left on the ground floor is a small blocked opening with plain reveals. To the right is a doorway with plain reveals and a sandstone lintel. To its right, opening into the third cell, is a second similar doorway which has a window opening to its right with a rebated and chamfered surround. Above, at first floor level, is a window opening which was covered by boarding at time of survey.
INTERIOR: not fully examined. Ground floor has beamed ceilings with exposed joists and floorboards. The middle room contains a stone fireplace with an iron grate and water boiler.
The house was unoccupied and in a derelict condition at time of survey (March 1992).
