The Six Bells
Public House

Public house. c.1905 by A. N. Prentice. Banded limestone ashlar
and coursed rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings. Collyweston
slate roof, 3 red brick ridge stacks with moulded tops. U-plan.
Single storey plus attics, 7 bay front having advanced and gabled
end bays. Central 4 centred arched doorway with moulded ashlar
surround having to the left 3 three light windows and to the
right are a single 2 light and 2 four light windows. In the roof
are 3 gabled through eaves dormers, each with a 3 light window,
ashlar cheeks and slate kneelers. All windows are glazing bar
casements with plain ashlar lintels. In the left gable is a
louvred oval opening with an ashlar surround and in the right
gable is a 3 light window. The end bays have side gables to the
central courtyard.
