Pair of houses. Mid C18, altered c1860. Red brick with pantile roofs and raised coped
gables, plus 4 brick stacks. 2 storey and attic. Street front has central passage opening,
flanked by 2 windows with C19 sashes in original box frames. To the right an inserted
doorway with 6-panel door and overlight.Above to left 2 similar sashes and to the right
2 C19 sash windows. All these openings have painted lintels. Above again 2 large C19
dormers, with glazed cheeks and plain sashes. No 8 has a lean-to greenhouse attached.
Interior of Victoria House retains its original plan with most of its wooden partition walls,
winder stairs and shutters.
