Has been a good late C17 or early C18 house with 3 storey, 3 window front greatly
altered. Enriched entablature and cornice, pediment above. Corinthian caps to
missing pilasters. Front now stuccoed. two round-headed windows, probably later,
others mostly altered, C19 sashes. Two shop fronts inserted. Fluted pilasters,
fanlight and voussoirs remain of doorcase. Interior has some contemporary panelling
in Hall, otherwise altered. Asbestos roof.
Nos 39 and 40, 42 to 46 (consec), 49 and 50 form a group.
