Purpose built railway engine shed. c1860 (shown on O.S, map of 1866). Built
of brick in English bond. Slate roof. Dimensions approx. 72ft long and 33ft
wide. It could serve 2 engines for both running and maintenance purposes.
Exterior has gable ends with circular window to one end and blocked oculus
to other and 2 round-headed arches with keystones, impost blocks and double
boarded doors. Interior has wooden roof with queen posts and queen struts
with regular glazed panels. Built for the Isle of Wight Railway.
