House, early to mid 16th century, timber framed and rendered with a hipped, thatched
roof. Generally of 2 storeys but with a lean-to, thatched extension on the east
end and single storey 20th century porch and outbuildings at rear and front. Windows
are 19th century casements and there is an off-centre, small red brick ridge line
stack. The interior reveals an unusual, fairly complete 16th century timber framed
open hall house with an 'in-line' plan form, 2 bay hall, bays at each end for solar/
parlour and service rooms and a simple crown post roof. Inserted late 18th century
floor and stack.
