House, mid 16th Century timber framed with 20th Century pargetted
plaster and gabled peg tile roofs. Of two storeys throughout with
gabled cross wing on south end with jetty. Ridgeline chimney stack
over "hall" block and small stack against south flank of cross wing.
Windows are small pane 20th century casements and cross wing has 19th
Century bargeboards. Late example of small two bay "open hall" with
later inserted floor and parlour/solar cross wing. Roofs one side
purlin with clasped purlins, wind bracings and soot-blackened rafters
raised arch braced collar roof over hall. Wall bracing is serpentine
in form, of great thickness and interupts the studwork. An external
door opening, at first floor probably gave access to former gard-o-robe
at rear. One original ovolo mullioned window survives on south flank.
Cross wing was formerly jettied at rear.
