C15/17 much altered. West part was probably C15 and south side C16/17 containing
early C17 painted decoration (lately discovered and now concealed), on first
floor. Probably a leading clothier's house as others in Dedham. Many later
additions, interesting domed music room of the early C19. Residence of the late
Sir Alfred Munnings, President of the Royal Academy, and houses his Art collection.
