Road Bridge. This Bridge is built in two sections. The south section dates from the
C16, rebuilt between 1717 and 1739, the centre arch raised in 1791. The north
section dates from 1811-12. Both are of ashlar with carstone parapet and coping. The
south or main section has three arches, the centre one round-headed with cutwater
between and also at each end on the east side. The north section has two
round-headed arches with cutwater between. Scheduled Ancient Monument.
