Red brick square dovecote built in English bond. Probably of C17 origin
but either rebuilt to the old pattern or much restored in the C18-C19.
Roof tiled, with half hips and small gables. The interior has some 550-600
nesting boxes. It is a typical example of Essex dovecots of this period.
