Mansion. Now flats. Early C19 castellated mansion built by John King. Two
storeys. Five windows. Faced with Roman cement. The east front has a projecting
centre portion with a castellated gable over it containing a cartouche and flanked by
buttresses. Four-centred doorway. The flanking window bays are also edged with
buttresses. Then to the north is a plain portion with a plain gable and an
octangonal turret, of which the top storey has recently been removed. There is a
similar turret of three storeys at the south end but recessed. There was originally
a further north wing, but this had been demolished. To the north-east is a long
projecting wing of one storey which backs onto the stable yard. Four windows.
Castellated parapet. At the east end is a tower of three storeys and one window
and beyond this a further portion of two storeys and two windows.
