Cottage. Late C18 front range and parallel early C19 rear range. Front range:
timber frame with weatherboard cladding painted white on a brick basement plinth.
Rear range: brick lower stone and tile hung upper storey. Slate roofs with end
gables. Four brick gables end stacks. Two storeys with basement below front range.
Symmetrical two window front: central single storey gabled porch with scalloped
verge and barge boards. Panelled door to porch has top panel (glazed with bars
(2x2 panes). Sidelights to porch have (2x2 panes. To either side of porch a sash
with glazing bars (3x4 panes) and side hung, louvred, timber shutters. On first
floor two sash windows with glazing bars (3x3 panes), the larger sashes at top.
On the RH gable end of the front range a small canted oriel to right of chimney
stack supported on a pair of moulded brackets and with moulded cornice; glazing
bars to front of oriel (2x3 panes) and to side lights (lx3 panes). Above on first
floor, a fixed -sash (3x2 panes). A small single storey lean-to outhouse added to RH
rear gable end to right of rear gable stack. On first floor to left of stack. A
two light metal frame casement (6x4 panes). At rear a central doorway with C20
glazed panel door and a three light metal frame casement to left (9x3). On first
floor a central late C19 sash with vertical bars. Interior: exposed bridging beams
over ground floor, some vertical board clads panelling and vertical board doors.
Rear range has C19 quarry tile floor.
