C13 chancel with restored lancet windows in the north and south walls and
also in the east gable. The rest of the church was almost completely rebuilt
in 1858-59 in C14 style, with flint and pebble rubble and tiled roofs.
The west tower has a pyramid tiled roof. The interior fittings include
a C12 font and a late C17 wall monument on the north wall of the chancel,
to the Bradbury children (of Brick House). There is also a sculptured
wall tablet on the south wall of the chancel to 10 year old John James
Bradbury by H. Scheemakers dated list. The church occupies an important
position as the focal point of the village centre. Graded for its architectural,
historical and topographical value. (RCHM 1).
