Small cascade and surrounds to 2 lakes. Late C17/early C18 origin, with later
alterations. Limestone. Flight of 15 rusticated stone steps about 2 metres
wide, channelling water into a rectangular pool about 10 metres by 18 metres with
coursed rubble walls and freestone at west wall, water channelled into lower lake
about 14 metres west, also with rubble walls and shaped ends east and west, about
30 metres by 60 metres. Cascade and lakes shown on Kip's view of Dyrham and the
water garden of 1712; the lakes may have been reduced in size since that date and
