1878-9 R Norman Shaw, architect, Tudor style. Built of red brick with tile- hanging and gables. Two and three storeys. Tall red brick chimney stacks. Entrance front has porch off-centre to right with gable and two upper floors timber- framed. three centred depressed arch to doorway. Door panelled. To left of porch set back, a two storeyed block with mullioned, and mullioned and tramsomed windows. Upper floor tile-hung gabled dormers. Block at right angles with tile-hung upper floor. To right of porch a one-storeyed billiard room with a six light mullioned window of stone and battlements. Tudor gateway to right leading to garden. The garden front is dominated by a tall chimney-stack with ribbed chimney and stepped gable. To left a two-storeyed bay window. To left of this is a block with a tile-hung first floor. Large modern wing to north.
