House. 2 bays to right are probably early C18 with early-mid C19 alterations;
left bay may be C17 in origin but is also altered, raised and re-roofed. Coursed
limestone rubble, the end to road refaced in ashlar C19. Collyweston slate
roofs, hipped at road end. Ashlar chimneys with ovolo-moulded cornices, one to
left gable, another between right bays. At right-angles to road. 2 storeys, the
taller right bays with attic; 3 bays in all. End to road has C19 2-light wooden
casements with flat stone arches, and a hipped dormer. On the left side, right
bays have similar casements in bonded limestone surrounds, narrow blocked window
to centre of first floor, and 2 hipped dormers. All dormers have paired wooden
casements. 4-panelled door to left in chamfered stone surround. Left bay has
paired wooden casement and single light to each floor, and central C20 door in
C17 moulded and stopped limestone surround. Another C17-early C18 feature is the
blocked single light with ovolo-moulded stone surround to centre of rear wall of
taller block. Interior: partition of re-used timber studs between blocks.
