Terrace house. 1871-72 by Ernest George and Vaughan. Red brick
with stone dressings, slate roof. Free Gothic Revival. 5 storeys and
basement. 3 windows wide. Ground floor has large carriage archway
to right. Triple groups of gothicised windows to left and Gothic
arched doorway to their right. Central canted bay window with
casement lights to 1st floor with flanking windows having Romanesque
details to mouldings of arches. Central gable framing 6 light plate
traceried window with diaper work to tympanum. Weathered parapet coping
carried up gable as saddlestone. Ornate cast iron area railings and
1st floor balcony to match.
