A timber-framed and plastered house of C17 origin but considerably altered and
added to in the C18 and later. Originally it was built on an L shaped plan with
the upper storey jettied on the east side of the south wing but is now underbuilt.
The front has C18 features. 2 storeys. 4 window range, double-hung sashes with
glazing bars. A central doorway with side windows has a shell hoof. Roof tiled.

All the listed buildings around The Green form a group. (Nos 8,10,38,52, and 25 are
buildings of local interest.)
