Pair of estate cottages for Bisbrooke Hall. Circa 1868. Coursed limestone and
ironstone rubble dressed in rustic manner; Collyweston slate roofs; decorative
cusped bargeboards with pendants; stone chimneys with pairs of chamfered shafts.
L-plan building of rustic appearance. 1 1/2 storeys. 3 bays to S, the right gabled
and projecting. Small off-set buttresses. Wooden casements with single
horizontal glazing bars and Tudor hoodmoulds. Left bay has single casement to
ground floor, and projecting lateral stack. Second bay has 2-light casements,
the upper in gabled semi-dormer and with stone corbels to sill. Right bay has
canted bay window with hipped roof and 2-light casement above. Set back to right
side is a blind bay with lean-to porch in front angle. Another entry in porch to
rear.
