Pickards Lodge

Part of bridge carrying Easton Grey Road and road from Shipton
Moyne over stream at junction on boundary with Shipton Moyne
parish. Probably cl848, built at same time as adjacent Pickards
Lodge (q.v.) to Westonbirt House (q.v.) and part of the estate
works, possibly by Lewis Vulliamy. Ashlar. Round headed arches
approximately one metre above imposts (just above water level at
time of survey, April 1986) with moulded string course below
rectangular plinth to low square piers with curved flanking pieces
of stone and plain low iron railings between. West side has 3
arches, and forms part of estate perimeter wall. East side (in
Shipton Moyne parish) has 2 arches, linked to additional piece of
wall opposite Pickards Lodge.
