Late C18/early C19 facade. Moulded eaves cornice and stucco band between floors.
Red brick, roof not visible. 3 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window facade with additional
recessed northern bay over coach entrance to rear. Ground floor rendered. Sashes
with glazing bars 1st floor, main part has 2 sashes of 3 lights each, flanking centre
oriel with panelled base. Ground floor has 3 sashes of 3 lights each, centre window
flanked by 2 doors with flat hoods on brackets and with pilasters. Northern door
has traceried fanlight, southern door now contains window.

The Bell Hotel and No 4 form a group with Nos 1 to 6 (consec) South Parade.
