Beam engine house for tin mine, now ruin. Circa mid C19. Repaired as ruin in 1984 for the National Trust. Granite rubble and brick to upper stage of chimney.
Plan: rectangular plan engine house. Bob wall (west) removed; opposite gable wall survives to almost full height and has window opening to each floor; the wing walls are partly fallen and the round chimney (north east corner) survives to its full height complete with coved cornices to the collars. 2 parallel walls survive at the north east corner.
