Late C18/early C19 adjoining buildings. Nos 1 and 3 have painted brick facade,
slate roof. 3 storeys. 2, 1 and 2 windows, the centre slightly recessed, sashes
with glazing bars. 2 reproduction shop fronts with small panes ground floor. Retains door with fanlight. Nos 5 and 7 of red brick with slate roof. 3 storeys. 3 windows with segmental brick arches, sashes with glazing bars. Modern shop fronts ground floor centre canted bay with unbarred sashes.

Nos 1 to 21 (odd) Nos 25 and 27 form a group with Nos 1 to 3 (consec) Leicester
Yard and with the entrance gates and bandstand in New Park, The Golden Fleece Public House and Nos 36A and 38 opposite. (Nos 21, 25, The Golden Fleece Public House and Nos 36A and 38 are buildings of local interest).
