Main front of Grove House faces south to Stamford Grove West. Early C19 house
of 2 storeys and basement 3 windows. Stock brick with stone-coped parapet. Mansard
roof of large slates with central round arched dormer. Gauged flat brick arches
to sash windows in stucco-lined reveals, those on west return with glazing bars
and ornamental iron guards. On ground floor centre former entrance bricked up
and small modern window inserted. Only entrance now on west return. On east
return a full height rounded bow. Grove Cottage is a 3-storey, 1-window north
wing plus a lean-to of 1 storey and attic.
