6/150 Thorrington Mill House

GV II

House. C18 of earlier origin with late C19 red brick facing and other
alterations and additions. Timber framed, part plastered, red brick faced.
Double range red plain tiled roof, left and right red brick chimney stacks. 2
storeys and attics. 3 window range of vertically sliding sashes with horns,
plastered gauged arches. C18 porch, fluted pilasters and front columns with
capitals and bases, flat canopy, moulded frieze with patera and Greek key motif.
4 panelled 2 light door. There is a brick buttress to left. A sketch in the
nearby mill shows the building with a C18 parapet facade and the same porch.
