Dated 1814 on the rainwater heads but altered and enlarged in the late
C19. Faced in grey gault brick with stone dressings, probably on red brickwork
which is still visible in the cellars. Two storeys, in part with cellars
and attics, the original North-east and North-west fronts are symmetrical.
The North-east has a central recessed entrance with plain Doric columns
and a stone lintel, flanked by recessed sashes with segmental heads. Plain
windows above, the North-west front has a central bay rising through both,
otherwise as the North-east. Plat band at first floor level, paired dentils
and timber eaves cornice. Original staircase and some fireplace surrounds.
Low pitched slate roofs. (RCHM 216)
