ST PETER'S STREET
(West Side)
Garden wall and main gateway at Old Bridge House
II
The house is visually screened from St Peter's Street by a very high brick
wall which includes a fine arched main gateway to the house immediately
opposite the rear door. The wall is higher at this point and topped on
each side of the section by ball finials. Beneath this is a pediment
over the doorway itself. To the front are 2 independent gate piers,
though an integral part of the whole composition, and containing a pair
of iron gates.
