Originally a large mansion but since it was first listed the southern portion,
added in 1830, has been demolished. The former middle section, now the south
end, is the oldest portion. C17, refaced in brick and stone. Steeply-pitched
hipped slate roof. This contains a C17 staircase, panelling and fireplaces.
Its east front was refaced with ashlar when the north wing was added in the
C18. This has 2 storeys and 2 windows. The remainder of the east front has
3 storeys, sash windows with glazing bars and a chimney breast. The north
front, formerly the main entrance, 7 windows. Two bays of 3 windows each on
all floors. Stringcourse. Castellated parapet. Wide glazing bars intact.
Central doorway with pilasters, projecting cornice, this has been converted
into a window. To the south-west are one large and 3 smaller pointed archways
which were formerly part of the verandah added in 1830 and are now a sort
of ruin in the garden.
