Lighthouse and Keeper's cottage. 1810 by David Alexander for Trinity House,
Newcastle. Lighthouse painted ashlar with lead roof. Cottage dressed stone
with Welsh slate roof.
Lighthouse, 3 storeys. Round and tapering with 12-pane sash on ground floor;
Trinity House crest above. Balcony with curved iron railings below light.
Light has square glazing bars. Domed lead roof with small lead drum.
Short linking section to cottage has flush-panelled door with bracketed stone hood.
2-bay cottage has 12-pane sashes in chamfered reveals. Pyramidal roof with
tall central stack.
