Dwelling house. Probably early 19th Century of rendered and painted rubble under a
steeply-pitched slate roof. One storey towards Quay Walls and two to the rear. Four
double-hung sash windows with central doorway. Quay Walls at this point forms part
of the Elizabethan walled defences enclosing the town and No 2 is built into them.
No 2 is visually prominent on Quay Walls and with the adjoining early C18 buildings
(g.v.) forms one of the best known views of the town.
