ST 76 SW SOUTH STOKE

6/215 The Priory

Detached Villa in a Tudor Gothic style. Circa 1830-40. Ashlar with a slate
roof; octagonal ashlar stacks. 2 storeys and attics in gabled dormers, coped
with kneelers. 3 bays: that to the right projects as a gabled cross wing.
Paired sash windows in moulded mullions, surrounds and under dripmoulds; square
bay window to the left. Off-centre plank door in chamfered and 4-centred
surround. Projecting porch to east with oriel window; door under hoodmould.
