SP 7433 THORNBOROUGH CHAPEL LANE

GV II

House. Dated E.S. 1704 on plaque between first floor windows.
Rubble stone, old tile roof, brick stacks to gable ends. L-plan
with right-hand bay projecting and gabled to street. Two storeys.
C20 barred casements under modern lintels, 3-light in left-hand bay
and 2-light in return wall of right-hand bay and to centre of first
floor over door. C20 barred and glazed door under flat wooden hood
on brackets. Sun fire insurance plaque next to date plaque. Wing to
rear formerly cottage C17-18, of rubble stone with corrugated iron
roof and central stone stack. Modern link block and extension to east
of rear wing.
