Terrace wall and steps: c.1815 by Lewis Wyatt for Sir Thomas Legh.
Coursed, squared, buff sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings.
Raking square pilasters on plinths, at corners and at intervals along
the wall. Projecting moulded cornice, above stone band and supporting
flat chamfered capstones on the wall and pilasters. Flight of 12
steps in the centre of the wall, with fine grey sandstone treads on
buff sandstone, leads towards Orangery door.
