Terrace of houses. Circa 1860. Stucco. Roofs not visible. Almost symmetrical
terrace. 4 storeys, attic and basement. Each house 2 windows wide except Nos 2,
4, 24, 26 and 28 which have 3 closely spaced bays. Centre 3 and Nos 6, 8, 44 and
46 set forward slightly with rusticated quoins. Channelling to ground floor.
Projecting Doric porches. Triglyph frieze across whole of ground floor. First
floor stucco balustraded balcony. Square headed windows except to Nos 6, 8, 44
and 46, which are round headed to first floor. Centre houses with Ionic columns
between windows. Stucco architraves. Cornices to first and second floor
windows. Sashes mainly plate glass. First floor French casements. Rich dentil
cornice above third floor (simplified to No 24). Subsidiary cornice to attic.
Cast iron area railings.
