Small country house. 1884 by Usher and Anthony for Albert Kimberley in an Italianate style. Red
brick walls with stone entrance porch and bay window. Hipped slate roof with brick
chimneystacks and wooden eaves cornice. Rectangular on plan. Two storeys; 7 windows. Sashes
with horns and no glazing bars. Front elevation has left side stone 3-light bay window with pilasters
and brackets flanked by offset porch supported on antae paired with Doric columns on pedestals,
with entablature over. Left side elevation has 4 windows, including a 3-light bay on ground floor,
and a tented canopy to veranda, supported on iron columns with fretted decoration above capitals.
Attached to the rear elevation (west) is a fine conservatory of 1884 with 4 tiers of glazed panels and
metal finial on brick base. One storey service wing to north. Interior has a very complete survival
of original fittings including oak staircase with turned bannisters and newel posts and round-headed
stained glass staircase window, several cast iron fireplaces with marble or wooden overmantels and
