Early C19. Rendered, slate roof. into storeys above a semi-basement. Two dormers.
Five bays, original sashes. Entrance, approached by flight of steps, framed by a
later C18 doorcase with straight entablature.
Nos 1 to 23 (odd) were built as "Ogle Terrace" on land belonging to the Rev J S Ogle.
The westernmost house was stated to have been built in 1816 [Newcastle Courant
19 April 1817] The complete terrace is shown on Wood's plan of South Shields 1827.
