Former shop and 5 houses, now 6 houses. c1830, with late C20
alterations. Brick with stone and stucco dressings and pantile
roofs. First floor band, rebated eaves and gable band, 5 ridge
and 2 gable stacks. Beaded 6-panel doors with overlights and
Gothic arched scrapers. 2 storeys plus garrets; 8 window range
of glazing bar sashes with multi keystoned lintels. Below, to
left, a square headed entry with overlight, and above it a
plate inscribed "Pettefars Yard". To its left, a door and a
glazing bar sash. To its right, 4 doors and windows, all with
multi keystoned lintels. To right again, 28 has 2 windows ,
the right one without a lintel, and a renewed corner doorway.
Right gable, to Queen Street, has 2 segment headed windows,
boarded up, and above, a smaller C20 casement and a boarded up
window. Below, a shop window to left and a segment headed
window to right, both boarded up.
