SX 19 NE POUNDSTOCK

House, formerly water millhouse. C17 origins. Whitewashed stone with cemented
slate roof with gabled ends, plastered left gable end chimney. Single depth plan
with front outshut and addition in angle. Undershot mill wheel at right gable end,
single storey with attic 2-window front. Entrance through front right outshut.
Narrow timber front door with blind openwork front, probably reused, under timber
lintel. Ground floor window left C20 2-light casement. Ground floor window right
6-pane opening under timber lintel. Ground floor room left has large fireplace
with fireplace beam with step ogee stops, remains of cloam oven. Ceiling has
roughly chamfered cross beams. Wide 4-plank door between ground floor room left
and left front outshut. Roof trusses have slightly cambered collars halved and
pegged into principals. 4-plank door carved with the name of 'Sedulous' wrecked on
the coast in 1843. C20 garage attached to gable end is not included in the
listing.
