Former school, later used as auction room with Parish Hall above, now a doctors' surgery: dated 1823.
Coursed, squared, sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings. Kerridge stone-slate roof with 2 stone chimneys. Rectangular in plan with nearly symmetrical 2-storey, 5-bay front. Windows are 2-light, chamfered, stone mullions with hood moulds. Main doorcase to right. Eaves and gables castellated with heavy plain pinnacles on the corners. Central tablet reads "This School was erected by Thomas Legh
Esq., A.D. 1823". Small addition to left in keeping. Interior: Altered into single rooms on both storeys after a fire, no original features survive.
