House, probably originally associated with the adjacent Old Post Office (q.v).
Main range late C16/early C17 with early C19 wing to east forming L shape plan.
Main range timber framed and plastered, plaintiled roof; 2 storeys, with
jettied first floor to west. C19 wing of flint with painted brick front,
pantiled roof; 2 storeys and attic. Both wings with various casement and sash
windows, the main range with a modern 3-light shop window to the north gable
end; 2 doorways within glazed and pantiled corner porch: one boarded door and
one modern half-glazed door.
