Farmhouse. Dated 'W.A.S' over right hand doorway and '1837' over left hand
doorway, the initials standing for William Abraham Shuldham. Red brick, slated
roof. 2 storeys. 5 window range, 2-light and 3-light casements with diamond
panes, the 2-light windows with Y tracery glazing bars; segmental arches except
the 2 doorway arches and the windows above them which have elliptical arches,
the doorway arches with keystones. Both doorways deeply inset, forming a small
entrance lobby between the outside wall and the door itself; left hand doorway
with boarded door, right hand doorway with 6-panel door, the-upper 2 panels
glazed; each lobby has a further doorway at right angles. Hipped roof with
wide overhanging eaves. Moated site.
