Bridge over the River Calder. Dated on keystone of arch A.D.1830. Pitch faced
stone retaining walls, tapering buttresses to either side of single-span semi-
circular arch with rusticated voussoirs with raised keystone. Land arch to
northern end set between buttresses. Parapet is in ashlar to retaining walls
but the surface is tooled to that over bridge. The southernmost retaining wall
is attached to Woodhouse Mill Bridge (q.v.).
