Former school, now private dwelling. Dated 1855 on hood over doorway below
bell turret. Red brick with diaper patterns in black headers, plaintiled roof.
Mainly single storey and attic, part single storey. Scattered fenestration,
windows inset with splayed reveals; to west a full height canted bay, now
rendered and with mid C20 large pane casement windows; north wing with 5-light
window with brick mullions, crow-stepped gable with ornamental cappings to each
step; doorways with shallow pointed arches, boarded doors. To south is a
taller square section crowned by a timber bellcote, one bell, pyramidal roof,
spike finial and weather vane. Roof with wide overhanging eaves; 3 stacks each
with 2 tall coupled flues with oversailing courses to tops. 2 mid C20 single
storey extensions.
