Outbuilding comprising stables with lofts above, coach house and millhouse. Early
C19, possibly contemporary with the rebuilding or addition to the Rectory (q.v.).
Squared stone brought to courses with stone dressings to voussoirs. Slate roof
with slates out to hips. Stable range with lofts above is built into the slope of
the land giving first floor access to rear of lofts. Hipped front projections at
either end consist of coachhouse and accommodation for milling machinery. Mill
pit in lean-to adjoining right end. Accommodation for coachman above coachhouse,
brick chimney. Loft adjoining mill pit retains large beam and some housing for
machinery. Voussoirs above coach entrance, stable entrances and 1 entrance to
lofts have scratch mouldings. Lofts have roofs of kingpost and struts,
ventilators in rear. Pair of timber doors to Coach House with v-jointed vertical
boards and chamfered frame have large strap hinges with decorative finials. C19
2-light window frame with centre (wooden) mullion and iron stanchions above
carriage entrance, having slightly cambered heads. Unlike the Rectory (q.v.) the
Coach House, Stables and Millhouse, the stone walling was intended to be seen.
