Farmhouse. C17 with early and Mid-C19 alterations and additions.
Coursed, dressed and squared large stone blocks with red brick additions;
clay tile and slate roofs, the former with coped verges on kneelers;
brick integral end stack and brick ridge stack. 2-room plan house aligned
NW-SE with entrance to SE gable, extended to the NW in the early C19, and
to the NE in the Mid-C19 to form an L-shape. SE Front C17 gable to left
of 2 storeys and attic, and Mid-C19 extension to right of 2 storeys; 1:1
bays. C17 gable has ground floor 3-light casement replacing an earlier
window with straight dripstone, and 3-light chamfer mullioned windows in
rebated surround to first floor and attic, the former with straight dripstone;
door to right. C-19 extension has ground floor casement to left and small
first floor casement to left; door to left; both doors are beneath a C20
brick and timber lean-to porch. S.W. front: 2 storeys with stone plinth
and brick toothed eaves course; 4 bays, casements, the 2 to the left have
segmental heads, the 2 right hand ground floor windows have straight
dripstones and replace earlier mullioned windows; decorative wooden porch
to 6-panelled door left of centre.
