House, mid C17.with added early C19 cottage and barn now converted to form a dwelling. Now in two occupations. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. Two storeys. C17 dwelling is a cross-wing with plinth, cavetto moulded string course, coped gable with kneelers and finials. Gable has double chamfered mullioned and transomed window of eighteen lights with two king mullions with the same to first floor. Left hand return wall has cross-window with two-light window over. Inserted C19 doorway with monolithic jambs. Attached at right-angles is single-cell cottage with flat faced mullioned window of two-lights with same over. Re-used engraved stone reads: V EHOROSICKVITO/ 1 6 5 7 / W C (perhaps a version of "ut hora sic vita", i.e. as the hour passes so passes life).
Attached at lower level are cottages and barn now forming a single dwelling. Barn has semi-circular cart entry. Cottages have flat faced mullioned windows of two- and three- lights. Quoins. Single stack to cross-wing. Attached to rear is three-cell cottage range with single pitch roof. Two storeys. Ground floor has chamfered mullioned window of three-lights and two double chamfered mullioned windows of six lights, first floor has three flat faced mullioned windows of five lights. Two stacks to ridge.
Interior of cross-wing has large elliptical arched fireplace and reeded spine-beams and joists.
