Portland stone lantern column, to right of Entrance, Town Hall, High Street (qv) c1898.
Designed by John Belcher, architect of the Town Hall. Unfluted and stylized composite
column, octagonal base. Metal lanterns with domical tops. Three bronze plaques encircling shaft,
each with the Borough Arms.
